Exterior Painting Built For The High Desert
High-desert sun and wind are hard on a home. We prep properly — wash, scrape, caulk and prime — then apply coatings built to hold their color through Nevada summers and winters.
Northern Nevada is one of the harshest environments in the country for exterior paint. Intense UV at 4,300 feet, 40-degree daily temperature swings, blowing grit off the desert floor and hard alkaline water all work against a finish. A coating that would last a decade on the coast can chalk and fade here in three years if the prep is rushed.
We build our exterior systems around that reality. Every home gets washed, opened up, repaired and primed before a single finish coat goes on, and we schedule around surface temperature rather than the calendar so the paint cures the way the manufacturer intended.
- Stucco, siding, trim, garage doors and shutters
- Pressure washing and full surface prep
- Elastomeric and premium acrylic coatings
- Careful masking of windows, roofs and landscaping
Every project starts with a free walkthrough and a clear written price. We protect your floors and furnishings, prep every surface properly, and clean up at the end of each day so your home stays livable while we work.

How We Work
Our Preparation Process
Walkthrough & written scope
We inspect stucco cracks, failing caulk joints, dry rot, chalking and previous coating failures, then put the full scope and price in writing before anything begins.
Pressure wash
The entire envelope is washed to remove chalk, dust, cobwebs and mildew. Paint bonds to the surface, not to the dirt sitting on it.
Scrape, sand & repair
Loose and peeling coating is scraped back to a sound edge and feather-sanded. Stucco cracks are cut, filled and textured to match; damaged wood is repaired or replaced.
Caulk & seal
Window and door perimeters, trim joints and penetrations are re-caulked with elastomeric sealant that flexes through our temperature swings.
Prime
Bare stucco, raw wood, patches and stains get the correct primer — masonry, bonding or stain-blocking — rather than one primer for every surface.
Mask & protect
Windows, roofs, lights, concrete, plants and vehicles are masked and covered before spraying starts.
Apply finish coats
Sprayed and back-rolled for penetration and uniform film build, applied at the manufacturer's specified mil thickness, not stretched thin.
Final walkthrough
We walk the property with you, touch up anything you flag, remove all masking and debris, and label leftover paint for your records.

Common Questions
Exterior Painting FAQs
How long does exterior paint last in Northern Nevada?
With proper prep and a premium acrylic, expect eight to twelve years on stucco and seven to ten on wood siding. South and west elevations always weather fastest.
What time of year is best?
April through October is ideal. We watch surface temperature and dew point rather than the date, and we will reschedule rather than apply paint that cannot cure properly.
Do I need to be home?
No. Most clients are at work while we paint. We coordinate gate and pet access ahead of time and text you daily progress.
