Cabinet Refinishing

Cabinet Refinishing With A Sprayed Factory Finish

A kitchen transformation without the cost of new cabinetry. Doors are removed, degreased, sanded and sprayed for a smooth factory-style finish that stands up to daily use.

Refinishing gives you a new kitchen for a fraction of the cost of new cabinetry — but only if it is done right. Kitchen cabinets face grease, steam, fingernails and cleaning chemicals daily, so the difference between a finish that lasts a decade and one that chips in a year is entirely in degreasing, bonding and cure time.

We spray, we never brush doors, and we do not rush the cure. The result is a smooth, hard, uniform finish with no brush marks and no sticky drawer fronts.

  • Degrease, sand and prime every surface
  • Sprayed finish — no brush marks
  • Paint or stain options
  • Hardware removal and reinstallation included

Every project starts with a free walkthrough and a clear written price. We protect your floors and furnishings, prep every surface properly, and clean up at the end of each day so your home stays livable while we work.

How We Work

Our Preparation Process

1

Label and remove

Every door, drawer front and piece of hardware is numbered and removed so it goes back exactly where it came from.

2

Degrease

All surfaces are cleaned with a commercial degreaser — twice around the range and sink, where cooking oil is heaviest. Skipping this is the number one cause of peeling.

3

Sand and de-gloss

Doors, frames and boxes are scuff-sanded to break the factory sheen and give the primer mechanical grip.

4

Repair and fill

Dings, chips, grain and old hardware holes are filled and sanded flush.

5

Bonding primer

A sprayed bonding primer formulated for slick thermofoil, laminate, oak and previously finished surfaces.

6

Spray the finish

Two to three sprayed coats of cabinet-grade enamel, sanded between coats, applied in a controlled spray area with doors racked flat.

7

Cure and reinstall

Doors cure before handling. Hardware reinstalled, doors rehung and hinges adjusted so every gap and reveal is even.

Common Questions

Cabinet Refinishing FAQs

Can I use my kitchen during the project?

Mostly yes. Your sink and appliances stay usable; you will be without cabinet doors for several days while they cure off-site or in a controlled area.

Will it chip?

Not with a proper degrease, bonding primer and cabinet enamel. Give the finish 14 to 30 days to reach full hardness before heavy scrubbing.

Can oak grain be hidden?

Yes. We fill and sand the grain first when you want a modern smooth look, which adds a day or two to the schedule.
